Valuers and Experts Professional Development Center Provided Trainings in Business Valuation

In November, 2013, Valuers and Experts Professional Development Center organized two-week trainings in business valuation. Trainings were delivered by George Badescu, member of Supervisory Board of IVSC, appraiser certified by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and instructor of the same organization, president of CMF CONSULTING S.A., Romanian Consulting and Valuation Company. Noteworthy that George Badescu is highly experienced valuator and knows Georgian markets very well; he has been working with Georgian valuators during the years, including in educational field.

The aim of above training course was to provide respective knowledge of business valuation methods to Georgian specialists, under 9th Edition of International Valuations Standards, 2011, and share European experience in valuation field in general.

Georgian valuators have shown the deep interest towards training courses since they have lesser experience in business valuation.

Representatives of both public and private sectors, including representatives of National Bureau of Enforcement, National Forensic Bureau, Georgian Auditing and Consulting Company, Bank of Georgia, Cartu Bank, Bank Republic, Bank Constanta, and BTA Bank participated in the trainings.

Valuers and Experts Professional Development Center is accredited by the State Body of Accreditation of Georgia – Accreditation Center, in full compliance with international standard ISO/IEC 17024:2010 – General Requirements to the Bodies Operating Certification of Persons. Participants of training course will be able to undergo certification at Certification Body of Valuers and Experts Professional Development Center and get business valuator’s certificates. Certification program will be implemented by Georgian experts through the tests developed together with George Badescu.

Valuers and Experts Professional Development Center plans to continue cooperation with foreign specialists and carry out various interesting projects in the field of property valuation.
